i think Joey O'Brein is decent enough cover and there is more first team positions need a replacement before we start with that
Rafael next year or on a pre-contract in january to replace jenkinson.. yes, but right now i think we would be better served going all out for another creative midfielder and a goalscorer

I think we still need another right back. We lost two in the summer.
Like many others on here, the idea of JOB playing with any sort of regularity next season makes me shudder.
One I'd suggest is Rafael. He only has a year on his contract and Van Gaal has apparently made it clear that he is not interested in keeping him. The player has lost his way a bit since Ferguson left, but was one of the best full backs in the league when they last won the title a couple of seasons ago. So the challenge would be getting him back to his best. A fresh start and more opportunities to actually play might be just what he needs.
At only 25 he could potentially be a long term solution for that position and would see genuine competition for the shirt between him and Jenks next season. Especially with plenty of games to go round should we get through these qualifying rounds for the Europa.
